The customer service counter is in room four. The easiest way to convey the fact that the shop is staffed by caring booksellers rather than clerks are these numbers: our seven-member staff has a combined total of 84 years in bookselling and 304 years of mothering, grandmothering and general caretaking. |
|
"We will help you obtain any book" has been part of our advertising since opening. If we don't have a specific book in stock, we can either get it for you or give you information on how to obtain it. We have fine tuned our special order service so that books are usually at the shop in a matter of days. |

Our display of books by local writers is crowded into a corner between doorways. The non-fiction books are on many subjects and the fiction includes romance, mystery and historical work. Author Christine Andreae's first mystery, TRAIL OF MURDER, was nominated for an Edgar Award. We have her first book, SEANCES AND SPIRITUALISTS, and her three mysteries in signed first editions. |

Two books by Christine were published in 2000---WHEN EVENING COMES: The Education of a Hospice Volunteer and SMOKE EATERS, a thriller set in Montana during a wildfire. Both books received positive comments in national review publications that can be read on her website, www.christineandreae.com
